Frequently asked questions:

I have bought a licence, what should I do?
After initiation of the demo version the program displays a window with a generated number. This number you should send to the email info@drillbook.net. Within 24 hours at the latest you should get back an activation code, which should be entered in the relevant field in the above mentioned window of the program. Do not reinstall the program. Each installation generates a new key. We have set up this measure for the purpose of protection of the copyright. Based on the generated number we are able to detect whether the user installs the program on more than on one computer. Some users have sent to us even four generated numbers in a calm manner with the explanation that they are not able to install the program …).

I have obtained an activation code, but I can not initiate the program and it says that the key is incorrect.
It proved that not all people get on well with computers to be able to carry out even a simple installation of the program :-). Please, proceed as follows:

1. Download the demo version (file named drillbook.exe or dfp.exe).
2. Then initiate the file and proceed according to instructions stated in dialogue windows of the installation. I recommend not to change the file, in which the program should be installed (c:\Program Files\DrillBook or c:\Program Files\DrillBook Football Pro) and at the end select the option Place the icon on the desktop.
3. After completion of the installation do not start the installer again – i.e. the file drillbook.exe or dfp.exe. You may delete it.
4. You can start the program by means of the icon on the desktop or by means of the menu Start – Programs – DrillBook (or DrillBook Football Pro) – Drillbook (or DrillBook Fotbal Pro). After the initiation a window with generated number appears. See the Help below.

The essential problem is that for an unknown reason some users initiate the installer round and round instead of initiation of the program by means of the above stated links.

What shall I do after the first initiation of the program?
Besides the activation (see above) activate the required playgrounds in the menu Tools – Setting. In the DrillBook Football Pro version all playgrounds contained in the program are being activated automatically.

How to update the program?
Download the installation file for update and initiate it (the program must be switched off when updating). Before the program updating I recommend to backup the application through menu Tools – Backup - All or Tools – Backup – Graphical practices etc.

I am a user of the DrillBook version and now I changed to the DrillBook Football Pro version. How shall I transfer the data?
Initiate the DrillBook and make the back up of all data. Do not use the function Back up all, but make the backup of each module separately. Then initiate the activated DrillBook Football Pro. In the Menu Tools use the function Restore from the backup and restore gradually all data. Start the data restoration from the Graphical practices module.

What sports is the application meant for?
The program may be used for any sport in which it is necessary to display practices graphically. The application contains ice hockey, football (soccer), floorball, lacrosse, in-line hockey, volleyball, basketball, and handball playgrounds (entire or various parts). However this application contains option to import own backgrounds (of playgrounds) by which its utilization becomes unlimited from the point of view of sports support. In any case contact us, if you are using the application for any sport unsupported so far. With respect to possible change of practices it is more suitable to prepare the background by the author of the program.

Is it possible to transfer graphical practices between programs DrillBook and DrillBook Football Pro?
It is possible to display graphical practices created in the DrillBook also in the application DrillBook Football Pro, but only those, in which some of football playgrounds were used as the background. It is not possible to display practices from DrillBook Football in version DrillBook. (Version DrillBook does not contain figures of players, goals, barriers.)

Is the DrillBook (or the DrillBook Football Pro) localized to different language?
Control and menu of the application are presently accessible in many languages (see homesite). The language interface is solved in form of language packets, so the translation to a random language is very easy.

What operation systems is the application meant for?
DrillBook is adjusted exclusively for OS Windows 2000/XP. The applications were not tested for Windows 98/Me.

On how many computers may the application be used?
One purchased licence is determined only for installation on one computer. Multi-licence is determined for installation on max. ten computers within one club.
